Journey Abroad

Here at Journey, we care about people from all over the world. We want to make a difference in the lives of the poor, abused and hurting in other countries as well as at home.  Here are a few of the things we do to create a global impact:

We have been involved in Paraguay for over 15 years.  This has been primarily through sponsoring the work of Dan and Gwen Miller, a couple from Collingwood who have made Paraguay their life’s work.  We also send mission teams to do construction projects, community development, and ministry like leadership training, evangelism, and children’s camps.  We helped build and now sponsor a home in Carapegua, Paraguay for abandoned and orphaned children.  We’ve also made it a priority to work with the community around the children’s home to help improve the lives of the poor and to show them the love of Christ.  We made great progress toward this goal in 2015 by helping build 11 new homes for families in poverty.

We sponsor work with Transport for Christ and have been a part of building a school and tailoring centre for former prostitutes and their children in Chirundu, Zambia.  We also help support local pastors who reach out to truck drivers.

We have also been a part of projects like Operation Christmas Child, and donating to the refugee crisis.
