Walk for Freedom TOMORROW!

October 14, 2017

Our Propel group has created a team for this year’s Walk for Freedom!

Slavery still exists.  We at Propel Women Collingwood are passionate about fighting for those who don’t have the freedom to fight for themselves.

There’s still time to join!  Everyone is welcome!

Together we can abolish slavery in the 21st century.

Date: Saturday, October 14th 2017 (Tomorrow)

Check In Time: pre-registration starts at 9:30

Walk Time: 10:00

Location: Downtown Barrie at the Spirit Catcher

Distance: 3km

Tape will be provided to wear as a mouth covering, representing the 27 million victims of human trafficking who do not have a voice. We will walk silently in a single file line and pass out informational flyers to explain human trafficking.

What to Bring: ID, comfortable walking shoes and any donations you have received.

Attire: Unfortunately this year we have had some trouble with the A21 T-shirts so they will not be available for purchase. Please wear all black and shoes that you can walk in!

Parking: There is a parking lot directly beside the spirit catcher, but this is payed parking. If you have a city permit you it would be best for you to park in the lot across the road.

Social Media: The true multiplication of A21’s message is seen globally through media coverage and pictures distributed through social media. Make sure to #WalkForFreedom on all photos and videos posted to social media!

Make sure you come early! We have Samantha Ward from the Child Advocacy Centre coming to share and we also have a letter writing station. Join us in writing letters of hope and encouragement to the women in our A21 shelters!
